How To Get Rid Of Mold

Occasionally it isn’t always a little problem when it comes to the question how to get rid of mold. Often it is an entire basement or house because of a natural disaster. That occurred with many of my neighbors one or two years back when the rains continued and the dam broke.

A straightforward product wasn’t going to mend their houses. Instead, special apparatus was needed. When the rains came they did not stop. It became sufficiently bad that our state was regarded as a disaster area. Many neighbors and pals lost their houses and personally things all due to poisoned waters and molding. To this day many of these neighbors and pals are still picking up the pieces. Some have lost their houses forever while others managed to clean up the mess the polluted waters had made. The molds were sufficiently bad that it left many folks and animals sick.

To take away the mold, some employed executives to look after the mess while others leased or acquired the tools that were wanted to clean up the mold. I watched buddies and neighbors arm themselves with the supplies critical to avoid inhaling and touching the poisonous molds and fumes. They used gloves to guard their skin from coming into contact with the poisons. These gloves were special gloves that extended to their elbow and were made of rubber.

They also used goggles to guard their eyes. These wrapped around to the side of their churches and fit snuggly to their face to keep out any dust, which could carry toxic spores. A lot of them also wore breathing masks, which covered they nose and mouth. Some were easy paper masks, but others were like the gas masks you see in the flicks. These kinds of masks contain filters that stop moldy dust from entering the lungs. When the execs went into the houses they took stuff a step farther and wore full body suits.

This was because they needed to work round the deadly molds for hours at a time. Many of the suits that I saw were easy paper suits that might be simply disposed of after clean up. Except for body protection there were also tools to help filter the air. One of which was an air scrubber. The air scrubbers were used to stop any fungus from extending to other areas of the home that weren’t poisoned. They were used to filter and clean the air. Then after the clean up, I discovered that many of my neighbors purchased dehumidifiers to get rid of any remaining moisture that was left. Most were the straightforward ones that did not need any additional purchases, but there are some that use filters.

Yet even with the assistance of all of that black mold removal appliances, it does not change the undeniable fact that these folks lost their stuff and houses.

Sure, things can get replaced, but it changes someone. Some will go on and excuse Mother Nature while others will remember their losses and attempt to get on with their lives. I only hope that sometime the remembrance will be a forgiving one and life for them will be as attractive as it once was.
